Much needed thing, however when AMC is taken onus should be put on maintenance agency as most of the problem in lift comes due to proper preventive maintenance not being done by AMC co. and for saving cost not changing the component until they fail.
Very important to have proper manpower in lift inspection department and getting lift cleared should be part of AMC contract else we will find that in want of non clearance from lift inspector lift is kept idle.
Whatever is being done or discussed it should be done considering the fact that that sooner or later all the society will be handed over to RWA and will nit remain with builder to maintain. Such should not be put which will become impractical and in fear of getting involved in personal problem ppl should avoid to be part of RWA.
There is monopoly of lift manufacturer as by default every year they increase AMC and at the time of quality service only excuses.
Also to take order for new lift they reduce the price and than do compromise on non core component which fails frequently and blame is being put on quality of power supply.
